About Me

Hi I'm Cy! I am an excited student attending Biola University in Los Angeles County, California. I am working towards receiving a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

I have a passion to be a part of a group that sets out together to pursue the good, the true, and the beautiful each and every day. My desire is to fuel change and bring about economic, communal, and spiritual growth. I look to equip the unequipped, to empower those who feel powerless, and to bring hope to the hopeless.

Personal Calling

I’ve had the privilege to live as a third culture kid in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the first seventeen years of my life and experience life with Ethiopians every day. I may look like a typical American kid on the outside but my home is with those Ethiopians. That's why the name ዮሴፍ (Joseph) has so much significance. It reminds me where I come from and where I need to go. I am called to serve the types of communities that raised me. To use what I have been given to give back.

The Journey

I have a desire to pursue growth of communities and contribute to the sustainability that they see for themselves. This mission and vision has been heavily influenced by my past and pushes me to seek out communities that know where they want to go and need my help, in whatever way, to get there. This can take place across the world in any culture and any community. I would love to return to the developing world and join a team of people who are seeking to create self-sustainability and independence.
